1089 link backs from Yahoo but none from Google?

How is this possible? I did the test with iwebtool.com

 

Low quality backlinks or maybe G has updated its backlinks`.

 

I think is Low quality backlinks .

 

Try to get more quality backlinks from high PR sites !

 

Google only shows some links and Google doesn't constantly update it's backlinks

 

Check the links in Google Webmaster tool . If it is low in figure then you should concentrate on getting quality links.

 

I have noticed the same thing I have 2 back links with google 2500 with yahoo I have alot more than that with google their update should show the new results for you.

 

As other DP members said, get high PR backlinks.

Tips
Go to http://www.google.com/alerts and put in "link:www.yourdomain.com"

You'll get notification when there is backlink for your domain showing up in google. Will save you some time.

 

bloody hell i have 10 good links just this week and the blog is over 2 years now. Should have some backlinks?

 

Are these the only ones that show from the Webmasters Tools at Google or the normal link:www.yourdomain.com?

Sounds weird it sounds like Google have not spider crwaled your site.

 

Yahoo seems to always show backlinks. Google doesn't always show them, but I'm pretty sure G knows they are there.

 

It's not that Google hasn't spidered them, it's just Google are too strict on what links they counts as official backlinks.

I too have 0 backlinks according to Google. But strange enough, you search for "www.mydomain.com" on Google, and it comes up with hundreds of sites, all linking to my site, and all indexed in Google. Some have a PR of 3/4 and still no backlinks.

It's stupid really.

 

i get back links ping back in my blog WP all the time i do not know how many people i know link back to me but its a lot. What link back does google count then?

 

Y!'s algorithm is... well, lame. It indexes pages that don't even exist any more for years before realising that they're not even their any more. So, it could be the case that Yahoo is still seeing links that you've had before, whilst those links have been removed. If the links have been removed, Google *would* update and remove you from their index.

 

on my opinion,
if you backlink is on the sitewide, yahoo treats every link out of that site, and google takes only 1 of it, if it is worth they think to be mentioned. Better check backlinks on google using the webmaster tools.

funny i used the tool from them and i did not get any at all. So maybe you are right

 

Google is not displaying any links... especially if your site is new or you have few quality links... Build more quality links...
