I agree.. it doesn't make sense.. the environment is independent regardless of orientation. You have have a straight or gay couple providing a warm and loving environment to a child.

Where is the proof that all gays set bad environment for children? I've seen quite a few gay families this summer and they look happy together :)

In our opinion right? Because science has proven that it isn't a choice (well more of a nature or nurture thing). Lifestyle? How is it harmful, what about those lifestyles of crime and drugs? I think those should be of more concern than same sex relationships.

But the thing is.... straight couples don't always raise straight children right? There are gay people with straight parents. Works vice versa for gay couples..

Did I say most? No, no I did not. But your "arugement" is flawed. You act like gay couples can't raise straight children, yet there are straight couples whose children turn out to be gay.

Come on, now. The sexual orientation of a child's parents will not affect their own sexual orientation.

Here is something that critics of homosexual parents should think about before being critical:

If you are straight and a parent, are you molesting your child? Of course not. Then why do you think that homosexual parents will? Do you think gay parents love their children less?

All that should be considered about what makes up a good parent is whether they are doing a good job raising their child. Bigotry shouldn't be involved.

    I think I said I am curious.

I am saying that heterosexuals raise mostly heterosexuals as well, so it can be the same towards homosexuals, i.e. homosexuals will raise homosexuals, again mostly

 This one bugs me plenty. I'm sorry but I've heard of many cases that straight couples (father or mother..) molests their kids, this doesn't depend on the sexual orientation but a psychological thing. Have you seen the news?

Would it make sense,, a father molesting a daughter = that is straight isn't it? I'm saying that its solely from straight couples but it can be both. Being gay doesn't make you a molester, it's a psychological problem. (as lectured by my psych professor, so I'm not running bull...)

For the last time... the sexual orientation of parents does not affect the sexual orientation of their children. Get. That. Through. Your. Head. Please.

    # There were an estimated 300,000 to 500,000 gay and lesbian biological parents in 1976.
    # In 1990, an estimated 6 to 14 million children have a gay or lesbian parent.
    # Between 8 and 10 million children are being raised in a gay and lesbian households.

Latest statistics from the U.S. Census 2000, the National Survey of Family Growth (2002), and the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (2004) include:

    * An estimated two million GLB people are interested in adopting.
    * An estimated 65,500 adopted children are living with a lesbian or gay parent.
    * More than 16,000 adopted children are living with lesbian and gay parents in California, the highest number among the states.
    * Gay and lesbian parents are raising four percent of all adopted children in the United States.

Lets make it simple, I dont say that straight parents dont have gay kids.

Straight couples will raise 80-90 out of 100 straight kids

Homo couple will raise 80-90 out of 100 gay kids

    Now is that clear?

That is not a genuine link, fact - most people are hetrosexual ergo most children brought up by either Gay or Straight parents WILL be hetrosexual.

Doesnt make a slightest sense, honestly.
Sexual orientation is personal and hormonal choice. This is something I can call your speculation. there is no scientific or any kind of proof behind your speculation.

    So do I.

But if a child is gay... he's gay. Their parents denouncing homosexuals doesn't change that fact, but would make their child hide their sexual orientation if their parents are blatantly against it.

that is based on reality, why do you think there are more heterosexuals, then ? Or do you think thats not a fact too?

What about god believers?? Do you think it comes when a child is borned? Hell, no. It comes from parents to the kids.

And I'm sure those children are very thankful to have a home.

Curious, for the anti-gay adopters, what about bisexual couples? Do you think they should be allowed to adopt?

Where are these statistics from though? Because it's contradicting what I learnt in university.

Bisexual couples? Man/Woman (straight relationship) or Man/Man Woman/Woman (homosexual relationship)

    It's not like it's polygamy :p

    Q.
Will Children Raised in Homosexual Households Become Gay?

    A.
The bulk of evidence to date indicates that children raised by gay and lesbian parents are no more likely to become homosexual than children raised by heterosexuals. As one researcher put it. "If heterosexual parenting is insufficient to ensure that children will also be heterosexual, then there is no reason to conclude that children of homosexuals also will be gay."

Studies asking the children of gay fathers to express their sexual orientation showed the majority of children to be heterosexual, with the proportion of gay offspring similar to that of a random sample of the population. An assessment of more than 300 children born to gay or lesbian parents in 12 different samples shows no evidence of "significant disturbances of any kind in the development of sexual identity among these individuals".

    http://adoption.about.com/od/gaylesbian/f/becomegay.htm

so the numbers of children that become gay when living with gay parents is the same that are gay when living with straight parents.

    now STFU:D

I think he's trying to say that parents shape EVERYTHING about a child, including their sexual orientation. Using the god reference as his basis to assume that just because a parent teaches his child to believe in God (because children are not born with that belief), then parents are also able to "teach" their child to be gay or straight.

That's a bunch of BS if you ask me.
