I could not understand about following domain bid as I think it is too much for a domain with random number. domain32 .com Auction page is http://www.sedo.co.uk/auction/auction_detail.php?language=e&auction_id=12891&tracked=&partnerid= Does anyone have any idea?
It says download32.com, which is good for a file repository of 32-bit programs. Your average Windows XP home or office user is using a 32-bit system. Probably shill bidding, as kohashi said.
every domain is as expensive as who wants it. there might be a domain that might be worth $10 to me but to who ever wants it might be worth $10,000. Like the above example it might be worth few dollars to a lot of us but if there is some one who desperately needs is might even be worth a lot more than that $6600.
Part of every industry, including the domain name industry, is the occasional item that will go for a lot more than anybody ever thought it was worth. A couple of weeks ago I remember wifelover.com sold for quite a bit and I thought wtf??. But as mentioned above, if the right buyer is there, well, it'll sell!
Shilling is a practise on Sedo, Site Point and Ebay. How common not sure anyone knows...and difficult to catch as the sellers tend to use friends or on-line buddies to shill. Sellers rep probably good source but even then...
How about mine www.download60.com ? Just registered few days ago. Download round the clock 60 minutes every hour.
