It's when google crawls to all the web site before the page rank update.Once google snap shot is done the page rank is descided for the same Regards
Last time it was like 20-25 days before the update as far as i figured, so if same counts now, snap shot should be over or about to be.
From my point of view last time the snapshot took place a couple of weeks before the PR update. For example, I own a domian delphi-php.net I registered the domain on the 25th of March. When the PR update happened on the 30th of April my domain went from PR0 to PR4 - subdomain forums.delphi-php.net went from PR0 to PR5. I probably only started getting backlinks for it 2-3 weeks before the PR update. Cheers .... Gerald. EDIT: I did some more investigation and the last snapshot happened between the 30th of March and the 17th of April.
Blogs are the best place to check when the last snapshot was .... If someone posts on a daily basis you can tell when the last snapshot was becuase one days posts will have PR but the next days posts wont
Hello... I think it happened last night as i was siting in front of my computer and it looked like it started to melt then it levitated for a few seconds and a big bright flash appeared and these words came across the screen.... Submit your sites To all PR5 directories Hurry its coming! thx malcolm
if you havent notice some people say that the pr update is allready starting to happen so i guess the snapshot is allready taken 1 or 2 weeks before today.
PR updates should really only matter to people : A) Have no idea about what is important in SEO. B) Are trading links with people who have no idea what is important in SEO, so the magical number showing up or going up a few points will help you. C) Very Bored Focus on your SERP(s). I would take a Pr1 site with some Top3 SERP(s) over a pr 5 that didn't rank..... What is the point of even watching for this stuff? Spending time finding snap shops? Couldn't that time be spent to help build up your websites content, links, etc, etc, etc, etc -- and thus being used more efficiently?
