I'm tired of webmasters trying to submit to my directories and not pay hoping that we (directory owners) not figure out and just accept their submission).... So, I'm creating this thread to post their websites here as a black list... Put their information in the following form: Website Title: Website URL: Make sure you do not give them a link in your post, and just post the raw URL.
Expect to see the longest thread in a long time in this Directory Category Have not kept a record as there are so many
lemmefind.com lemmefind.uk lemmefind.cn lemmefind.... many many.. DJâ€E The Music Master http://www.djethemusicmaster.com/ A few more which i dont remember actually.
yes, i remember the dje!! i got a few, but i guess i should not post them, those submission can be done by mistake aswell!
A lot of the sites that submit but don't pay are from people using mass directory submission software. Chances are your directory was free at some point and got on a list and we all know these lists change faster than most of us change underware. Other less frequent reasons, person got cold feet, person forgot to pay, technical problem with payment flow and yes of course the ones who hope that you don't notice. Long story short, I don't think it is always malicious but for a directory owner it is deffinately a pain in the butt!
http://www.nimadirectory.com/submit.php Are you listings permanent or 1-year. I think sometimes the problem is that many directories don't state that information clearly, so someone submits then sees yearly and decides against paying. Of course there are other sites that simply spam paid directories hoping to sneak a few free listings in.
Hes got some money and is listed in some of the better directories that were never FREE and are quality ...go figure Dont get me wrong...he does spam the shit out of people but im starting to wonder if he just has a service that does that? I personally think that its the submittion software people use as well as some of the submitting companies who dont care and just submit anyway. thx malcolm
I don't think there should be a list for this because there's so many variables. I agree that probably 95% are deliberately trying it on. But some may be sites using submitters who are trying to rip off their employer etc. It would be unfair for the site to be blacklisted because of a dishonest employee.
You are probably right, but i think 95% doing it deliberately is enough for blacklist to be created. If someone sees their website here and thinks it shouldn't be, they can clear their name and find out how their submitter is ripping them off.... Nima
I thinks it's just part of doing business and you could beat your brains out trying to keep track of all of them. I own an ecommerce site and get the same thing every day. People place items in their shopping cart but never complete the payment. It used to really worry me ( including my directory) and I would send all kinds of emails asking if there was a problem. I finally decided that my time was more valuable and if someone actually had some kind of problem and really wanted my service/products, I make it very easy for them to contact me. As already mentioned, there are lots of factors in play and it wouldn't be fair to the sites that didn't intentionally try to do something sneaky. It's just part of doing daily business...shake your head and move on.
what's the point? do directory owners really wanna spend their time cross checking their submission queue with this thread? lol as somebody said, there are so many variables, and it's up to individual owners how to deal with unpaid submissions.
I have been thinking to create a list for such websites and after seeing this thread I created it here. I will update it regularly according to the submissions I get and the posts on this thread.
Its not meant for directory owners to cross check the submissions. It is so that those people are out in the open and decredited Nima
