for professional & serious bloggers, wordpress is best!! where you are free to put adds where ever you want.
wordpress on my own domain....I can do whatever I want with it and tons of plugins are available..... The possibilites are endless with wordpress
Wait!!! Lemme Reiterate the question. I think the OP is trying to compare oranges to oranges, so lemme assume that he is comparing yourblog.blogspot.com to yourblog.wordpress.com. Or are You comparing yourblog.com hosted on a server, you paid for, using wordpress software to blog with a yourblog.blogspot.com 1) yourblog.blogspot.com VS yourblog.wordpress.com yourblog.blogspot.com might get indexed faster than yourblog.wordpress.com is just an assumption. If you start a site, you are going to use Pings and get yourself at least a link or two? Moreover, yourblog.wordpress.com gets indexed faster in my experience, coz you get a link from the wordpress TAG home page, when you start posting using a category. yourblog.wordpress.com is better just because of this link because if you have hundreds of posts, you get some page rank by default because of these links from the wordpress TAG/category page. easy way to build PR. The rest is a trade secret BUT BUT, yourblog.wordpress.com is useless because you cannot add adsense. Somebody mentioned writing a widget.... I am still trying to figure it out, coz a friend of mine has a Wordpress blog that incidentally has 4000 pageviews and he can't use adsense. Blogspot is better in a way coz, you can Tweak the template, add adsense, and never have to worry about hosting. labnol.blogspot.com makes more than 200K dollars from that 1) yourblog.blogspot.com VS yourblog.com on wordpress yourblog.com WINS handsdown. Hosting cost is damn cheap. You own the domain. SEO is much better on your own domain. And if you think you need to worry about server when the traffic is HUGE, just pray that TRAFFIC is so huge that your shared hosting bans you. That only means you have a huge traffic, and that you can now afford dedicated hosting. Hosting cost will always be a teeny weeny percent of your revenue if you are smart, and don't run a Torrent/Indian sex forum If you think your adsense check won't pay for your hosting, go ahead and use blogspot. I use Blogspot, myblog.Wordpress and well as myblog.com I use blogspot to see if I can rank well for a niche. If i rank well, i create a mysite.com using the same technique and change the content. I use myblog.wordpress blogs to link back to my mysites.com My hosting bills are many times covered. have I answered all?
blogspotter, you missed the whole point of custom domain. Why would you make another site when you can use custom domain with blogspot? yourblog.blogspot.com can be yourblog.com without changing any content and your hosting can continue with blogger. Making a duplicate website on WP is not needed.
, two is better than one, no? I get residual traffic to the old site. I link to a new site with Content that have been hand-changed, that is one good relevant link, and I dont like blogger CMS for SEO purpose. WP is much friendlier, and with all the plugins.. And you don't have to pay anything for WP, so why bother with blogger.
i just created my first blogs in word press.been using blogger for months. i've just realized how much i've been losing. Am officially out of BLogger, and into WP!
I think blogger is best for keeping adsense ! In wp we can only place ads in some places where plugin allows !
I don't think so, If you go fiddling with the html template you can put ads anywhere. Which is basically what i've done. There under the header, end of the post. Its really simple. If you use firebug for Firefox its really easy to find where you need to put them.
I like Wordpress, but Blogger give me more traffic,How can I promote wordpress like Blogger although I do the same with them but almost traffic come from only Blogger.
