Is anyone here actually making a full-time living out of affiliate marketing?

Are you making a full-time living from affiliate marketing? Or any decent amount of money at all?

Tell me about it! I want to hear from real people making real money.

Personally, I'm on my way I think. I've tested and tested, trial and error, and finally have a site generating affiliate revenue without advertising, etc. (all organic seo).

Now, to rinse an repeat ^.^

Well, I own an incentive network, and last month, I earned $100 (I was only open one week last month). This months profit though should be about $1400. So I'm not exactly making a living off of it, but its helping.

Yeah, that's very very nice!! I mean... my take on it is, if I can make $100/mo., I can make $1000/mo. ... and if I can make $1000/mo., I can make $5000/mo. ... which would be more than enough to put in my two weeks lol. :D

I wish I would have been into affiliate marketing 5 years ago...let's see I would have been about 13 then, which I actually think is when I designed my first website (12 I think actually).

I've been affiliate marketing for about 7 months now, quit my part-time job 5 months ago, and plan on never having a full-time job.

    That's great!

    I want to know:

    1. How much do you make a month on average? (pardon the rudeness of this question)
    2. What are the two most profitable affiliate products that you promote?
    3. What are your top two favorite affiliate networks?
    4. What are your top two most profitable ways of promoting your affiliate products and services? (example: Adwords, feeder sites, social networks, mailing lists, etc.)
    5. How many hours do you work per week?

    :)

I'm not sure if he'll answer 1 or 2, but if you want other opinions from another full-time affiliate, here are my personal answers :

    1. I don't really get specific with my earnings, but in the range of $xx,xxx profit per month.

    2. 199/200 affiliates wouldn't publicly say that :D.

    3. Azoogle and Copeac.

    4. Search engines.

    5. Hard to say really...some weeks 8 hours, some weeks 60 hours. The best thing about affiliate marketing is that you can do it whenever you want. You work more, you make more money. You don't work a lot, you make less money, but still decent money nonetheless. I usually try and work about 6 hours a day, and if I'm busy 1 day, I'll tally it over to another.

Wow, thanks so much for the answers! Those are great!

I'm very impressed with your monthly income! Is that after advertising costs? Or do you do full organic?

One of the first things I did when incoporting my business was to get a good accountant. They are worth their weight in gold, and as well as sorting out all of my tax and vat issues they also help you save money. I can't stress how important it is to get yourself professional finance advice.

As for health insurance, I have taken out my own personal health cover. This covers me for loss of earnings due to ill health as well as all the usual health cae benefits.

Instability of business is a real concern for any business I guess. To prepare for this I try to diversify into lots of different online markets. I have also diversified into other business ventures, i.e. property. I wold also recommend to put half of your profits into a high interest bank account for a rainy day.

    1. My word, do you want to see my bank statement? Lol
    2. They change all the time. At the moment bingo and credit cards are doing well.
    3. Buy.at and Affliate Window
    4. Adwords and SEO
    5. About 40

There are many people here making a full-time income of what they do and there are many here that are on there way to it and then there are unfortunately also many here that will never make it full-time and will just have to quit doing it.
