Xbox 360 repairs will cost Microsoft $1B

Im nearly 100% sure Nintendo is making a profit on every wii sold otherwise they would not be racking in as much cash as they have in the last few months.

 

Nintendo did mention a lot prior to launch that theirs would be the only profit-making hardware right out of the box; however thats undoubtedly down to the fact its not technically a "next-gen" console (in terms of the technology used) - however this plays to Nintendo's credit; managing to not only hang with the "big-boys" using older hardware, but also kicking the ass of one (PS3... despite Sonys inflated sales figures) and closing down on another quickly (360)

Thats a lot. MS isn't taking the blame for it. I have a launch 360 console and it stopped working right after the 1 year warrenty. Lucky ArcticPro over there his still works. (me and Arctic used to live next door to each other)

 

Mine also stopped working about a year after I got it. I sold it on ebay just a few weeks ago for alittle less then 200 with 3 crappy games with it
