    Hi

Forgive this noobish question but I understand some advertisers forbid their publishers to bind on several protected keywords. What I want to know is, whether it's okay to use that keywords in our page for optimization.

I am planning to optimize a site based on a keyword which is a protected keyword. But since I am not doing this through PPC, I wonder whether this is allowed. Please advise.

    Thanks

If it is a trade mark i would not do it. You are affiliate and if they do not want you to use word and you do they might ban you.

There is no restriction of using protected keywords on your site, even it is trademarked words.

The odd merchant (eg, Match.com on Linkshare) will have rules about on page use. But the vast majority don't.

Thanks for the advice, I have tried contacting some merchants but most of them never bother to reply.
