    I was wondering..

If I am to have a button on a flash file that links to a page. How SEO-friendly is it? would google pick up on the link? and would the PR be passed?

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Search Engines can't read flash sites. so they won't see you link at all. Flash is not a SE friendly at all...

Well I am really sorry to say this but you are wrong.

After doing some research into it I found these three articles:

    http://www.internet-marketing-analysts.com/Google-Flash_tutorial/
    http://www.jehochman.com/articles/seo-friendly-flash.shtml
    http://www.searchenginejournal.com/flash-and-seo-using-flash-on-websites/2247/

    which show otherwise.

So having a flash banner on a good website would benefit you both in terms of SEO and also effect as its much more attractive if done professionally.

Flash Button did not make different then html, In Flash Button you have to give text in back ground because google can't open flash file and when google bot come he will identify text which you had give.

As I know (and many SEO forums tells) flash elements is messing your SEO'ed website. It's much better not to use flash as menu or text elements.
