Adsense on proxy site REPLACES ALL AD UNITS WITH YOUR OWN

Discussion in 'Guidelines / Compliance' started by darksanity, Jun 30, 2007.

After a lot of contreversy in the thread where i tried to sell my proxy script i decided to come here for the expert support.

If i made a proxy script that replaces all adsense id with my own when users surfed proxied pages then would that be allowed?

I'm thinking it is ethical because webmasters would get hits they would not have got before and proxy sites would get the extra revenue for roviding the service...

what the script does is when a user browses a website using it ... it will replace all adsense code on that page with its own code ...

the page itself is brought dynamically from the internet and is then displayed so what users are looking at is a cache created only a few seconds before hand...

    so is this ok ?

also if you are interested in the script pm me =P

Of course that is against the adsense TOS. How could you even imagine that adsense will accept that ?

So against the TOS it's not even funny. But do it and let us know how it goes. :D

I thought of this a while back, but shot it down since it would essentially be stealing from the owner of the site you replace the ad on..

no the owner would not have got the hit anyway assuming that the user goes to the proxy because they cannot access it directly...

so owner gains extra views and us proxy owners get revenue

You also can not control the pages the ads show on. Someone uses your proxy, goes to an adult site that is showing adsense ads. Your code takes over, bingo yet another TOS violation.

Talk about playing with fire, you WILL get burned.

yeah its a risk but the script only keeps the cache for a few minutes and then deletes it s really there shouldn't be anything for evidence

Not to 'begin' with, there never is until payment is due. There are many more 'I've been banned' threads......

    Yeah,

A few acquaintances of mine have tried to get away with Adsense on adult sites before. They get clicks for weeks, but just before payment is due they get their account banned.

I couldn't possibly imagine anything good coming of this. As an adsense publisher I'd be one of the first ones to want to see any kind of software like this stopped. It just seems wrong in too many ways.
