Ok, i've just been looking through my web stats for my website the Voisd Webmaster Directory and have found a backlink from Amazon. A while a go i did an interview on the new wordpress for dummies book as part of the launch of my Webmaster Blog and now, a link to that interview has turned up on Amazon where the book is being sold. Obviously its not a static url really, but will having a link on Amazon have an impact on my SERPs or PR?
The links are all right but the page isn't in Google cache yet (but is in Yahoo! cache) : http://72.14.209.104/search?q=cache...ordPress-Dummies-Computer-Tech/dp/0470149469/ Maybe it will get indexed with the link in your post. I would say don't expect much from a SEO standpoint, it's another backlink, better for traffic than for ranking in SERPs and PR increase. imho
read his first post....duh Well done with the amozon backlink. Will be nice if the page where the link is will get a good PR....
i think its a little late in the day to be included in the next pr update as it just around the corner - although who knows...
It's definitely going to help you out in the long run. You can say you have been promoted by amazon which is a big accomplishment. Amazon is the largest online retailer in the world and having a link back to your site pretty much guarantees a decent number of views even if google doesn't index the page. The sheer number of visitors to amazon will result in a few finding your site.
