you need to do to submit by categories just choose top 3 keywords for your site

and enter those keywords and submit your site

when a user searches for a particular keyword your site will appear for that particular keyword

 

You may want to make the header image a link back to the homepage or least provide a navigation menu.

 

Nice directory, however, there is a bug. When you initially click on the search box, it automatically adds a space at the beginning of the keyword you type in. So, when you click search, no results show.

 

I have fixed it thanks for the review stevb and also I have added a editor application where editors can apply from the site itself
