    Interesting find, thanks.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The first three steps I can understand, based on 'real math'.
    • Getting from step #3 to #4 doesn't look quite right.
    • Any experts care to comment?
    the fifth step is wrong. We know a=b, so (a-b)=0
    3 to 4 is ok
    (a-b)*(a+b)=a*a-b*a+a*b-b*b
    =a^2 - b^2
    b(a-b)=b*a-b*b
    =ab-b^2
    it's the next step that's wrong where they divide by zero
    You can't divide by (a-b) since a-b = 0 :)
    I've seen many of these. They're cool. I love math. :)
