Funny Calculations??

What the hell!!! Now this way anything can be proved..thats really funny...isnt it?

Any mathematical guru here can teach me that kind of maths!! i would love to make peoples 2$ = my 1$ ... Wonder how much credit can be ripped by this.hahahahahahahaha.

The first three steps I can understand, based on 'real math'.

• Getting from step #3 to #4 doesn't look quite right.
• Any experts care to comment?

 

My God ! What a calculation !!!

On 2nd line a2= a * b ??

 

the fifth step is wrong. We know a=b, so (a-b)=0

 

3 to 4 is ok


(a-b)*(a+b)=a*a-b*a+a*b-b*b

=a^2 - b^2

b(a-b)=b*a-b*b
=ab-b^2

it's the next step that's wrong where they divide by zero

 

I used to Love math, but haven't done much lately.

same prob here..cant solve this though math used to be one of my strong subjects

Well that was funny one but I knew it because same exmpale was in my
Discrete Structure book for Direct method of Proof.

You can't divide by (a-b) since a-b = 0

I've seen many of these. They're cool. I love math.

 

Very Cool. Just goes to show you can make numbers say whatever you want.

 

This was amazing when our teacher showed this in 8th grade..

 

Well that was nice...I like Maths and this was my favorite subject up till matriculation level..

 

Unfortunately until the matriculation level all you get is arithmetic, not maths
