BERLIN (AFP) - A zebrula -- a cross between a horse and a zebra -- has drawn curious onlookers to a zoo in Germany because of its unusual coat. While zebrulas have been in existence since the 19th century, this one is particularly unique: its coat is sharply divided between horse and zebra, says Safaripark, a zoo near northern Guetersloh. The animal, which is slightly more than a year old and is named Eclyse, has a zebra head, while the first half of the rest of its body is white and the second half is zebra-colored. It arrived at the zoo three weeks ago from Italy.
That's not a joke is it? It would be unusual for a horse/zebra hybrid to have such distinctive regions on its body as that - I would have expected them to all blend in.
at first i thought it was photoshoped. he looks nice. i wonder if he likes all the attention. his like a celebrity. his all over the net!
ah! guys its called Hebra or Zorse check out this video http://www.allweirdthings.com/what-the-hell-is-a-zorse/
Horse+Zebra is called a zebroid. It's hermaphrodite like a mule Here's one http://www.bethel.edu/its/is/teaching-technology/powerpoint/Powerpointfiles/images/Zebroid.jpg
if you cut its head off and mount it, what do you think visitors will say? If someone saw it without knowing its origin, what would they say? both are zebra.
That should be a fake...It it was a hybrid it would be more mixed like horse and zebra but this looks like half horse half zebra....
