It is now $1.99 + $0.20 ICANN fee. ($2.19 overall) I believe it is 777info. The same applies to MyDomain.com - Same company essentially.
I think those companies would make the 2nd years more expensive though. It's always recommended to buy from godaddy or namecheap or some other more famous registrars only - it's better to spend that extra buck- makes it stressfree and all your domains with only a couple of registrars makes it more convenient.
I agree with you on this, but if you can register the .info at Dotster for 77 cents and then transfer out to GoDaddy when renewal is due (or whenever) for $7.99, you'd be saving quite a bit if you did it with a few domains.
