all these top bloggers have stressed over and over again, that content really is king. Original, well-written content. Give something for your readers to have a reason to return to your site. That's the main theme of their blogs. That's easier said than done. I think the key is to pick something that's never done. Or find a way to do something that is quite normal, a simple way to solve complicated problem.
Somethings I noticed about those blogs 1. They post frequently at least 2 times a day 2. Very interesting topics 3. Reply to comments 4. Run contents to increase there page rank for certain keywords 5. Some of them have Adwords ads running 6. Their blogs are SE Optimized
Ain't that right! I read someplace the Techcrunch is making nearly $200,000 per month and I am not surprised since they sell 125x125 ads for $10,000 per month (8 of them) plus all the other banners and the AdSense; having 400,000 RSS subscribers and probably that many more people reading your site by visiting probably helps a lot
If he didn't have a million other ads all over his blog maybe people would click on his AdSense block more often. The chances of anyone clicking on a PPC ad considering the large number of links on any page are pretty slim in his case. Although I do agree that you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket, he is surely going overboard with it. Still, $12K is lots of cash.
Advertise, advertise, ADVertise! Market your site, pay for good converting ads and find readers for your site. Keep pursuing. If you want that kind of money, though, you are going to have to invest in at least some advertising.
lots of hard work and just keep adding intresting content so that when you get a guest they keep coming back to see more
That is so very true. When something big starts coming out, or at least has the potential to be big, jump on the boat. Don't miss it. You can still make a blog, write interesting articles, and work your way to the top. But it's going to take time, alot of work, and patience.
