I had one of my sites pages, except a few most of them was in google supplemental pages. All of the pages having good content. Traffic was good

I decided that i will to get these pages out of supplemental results and i wrote unique titles and meta values. I did bail those pages out. What really amazed me is the traffic from SERPS suffered a lot. It somehow got backfired.

    Anybody experienced this anomaly!

Are you still in supplemental results? Metatags dont usually make a difference. I have found that unique content and getting more inbound links to pages other than homepage does the trick. When you added meta tags, dont worry about the keywords. Just a simple nice non spammy title and description.

How long has it been since you came out of the supplemental index ? Do you still rank well for your basic keywords????????

10 months wow - has been Algo changes since then - I would assume that it wasnt just the meta tags - just that your competitors have probably gone up - pushing you down. Have you been link building the site during this time or doing no additional promotion?
