Maybe its just me but I don't quite get the linkbaiting idea. I see how it works but it seems to me that if I create some blog post with groundbreaking news or whatever on a page on my website or on a blog site then people will link to that page and not my site right?

Sure I'll mention my site in the blog post but people won't link to that 'cos they'll be linking to the news item page. Maybe I'm missing something..

 

If it is possible then please help all the DP members gain some traffic and also links as well.

How about compiling a large list of all the theories relating to his death ??

 

I would try to get some authority reviews and commentary on the diets by emailing academics and ask them if they could do a review of some of the diets. They get a mention and their faculty gets a link and you get some incredibly high quality content and potentially a few high quality links. Of course you may have to turn off ads for a while to get a better response rate. Just an idea

The idea is that you have the blog or piece of linkbait on your site. People then link to that page.

One of the best things you can do is get lots of deep links (links that are not to your homepage) as it makes your link profile natural.

 

Link baiting actually works. I tried it on one of my sub-pages and got PR4 in just a month or so.

I like your tips, especially "Get sued or sue somebody" I guess I have to try it sometime.
