Monetizing Social Networks

    Hello All,

I was wondering what the best way to monetize, on a CPA basis, a social network would be. Primarily, what ad campaigns do you all feel would be the best performers in such a setting (I know thats a broad range)? Also, what affiliate networks would be the best for a publisher who plans to incentivize this stream? I am confident we'll be bringing in enormous amounts of volume and will have quality leads as we will be gearing ads towards the advertisers' target.

I'm planning on working with NetBlue & CPA Empire primarily right now, but we are really looking for merchants who have a quality products and services geared at a general audience.

Any AM's who want more information, or are interested in working with us, shoot me a PM. :)

    Thanks,
    Joe Hake

I've just done a search here for incentivized and it brings up all the CPA networks that have some incentivized offers included within their network. Not all these are CPA networks in the results, but a large majority of them are. You can easily tell weather they are or not when you go to the site or you can easily click on the "Affiliate Networks" category and see if it's list there as well. If it is then it's an affiliate network. Just thought I would do the search for networks that have some incentivized offers for you to help you out. The ones listed nearer to the top are the best I have found. When you have been approved for any network it will say next to that offer if it's allow to be incentivized or not, if it doesn't mentioned it at all by the offer then don't use incentives for that offer. Just thought I would let you know.

Offers that would work well for your social network I think if it's aimed at the teens is things like ring tones, screensavers, icons, wallpapers, freebies, etc.

Hope this helps and good luck with your social networking site. Hope it all works out for you.

What i suggest if your social network has a business theme is that you sign up an affiliate referral program. since most of your members would be interested to an online business, the referral program can work wonder for you.

Say in one network - AffiliateBOT - they have an affiliate referral program where you earn $.10 for every affiliate you refer and additional 5% commission for your referral earnings. You may want to check other networks for a similar offer.

That's the first I've heard about the 5% commission for referrals earnings. Are you sure about that or is it a new thing as I have always thought you pay $.10 per referral signup, no matter if they are active or not and if you wanted you can choose another plan where you would earn $1 instead, but the referral has to become active.

Hyrdra has dropped incentives, and since that will primarily be our marketing model, we don't plan on using them :( But thanks though! :)
