agree, agree, agree. Without their agressive promotion, I don't think they could achive what they have today. There are other factors we could talk about in those directories, but their promotion comes probably the first.
Both (chris) and (jeff) are big player. They promoting their directories through signature links, featured listings and sitewides. They both have heavy budget for this thats why they deserve to became so popular.
Money doesn't buy popularity. You have to know how to use it through promotion to gain the popularity. You can spend $2000 on a single link and be seen by 1 person or you could use a different strategy and gain exposure from 2000 people. Chris and Jeff are fantastic marketers, hence the success of their directories.
Lol u do realize you can buy a. Marketers, b. Tv ads, c. TV Channel d. And a hot model too with just money ? Its always been about money mate, money drives us all, it gets u popularity, marketing and what not, just that it cannot buy your way out of dieing. Which is inevitable.
I have said it before, and I will say it again When the going gets tough, the tough get going Thats all there is to it 365/24/7
In a few years you will be asking this about my directory......*mike dreams* They had big budget, and they worked hard. It was more than a directory to them. I can see them being PR9 one day
Spending Money, Time, Promoting site everytime, Exchanging links with each other and also have powerful backlinks that generates them to the path of high traffic!
they are popular caz they spent Thousand of dollar buying links, sig, advertising, promotions, unique design, customer service, good reputation, etc etc
i say they are where they are because of smart promotion and using good strategies... Money did play a good factor because that promotion could not have been completed if money was not there
Chris works harder then anyone else I know, he works very late into the morning (after 12AM), he is promoting 24/7 when he sets out to do something he actually does it, unlike a lot of people here.
If you call it 'working' by pestering me all damn night, then yes, he does a fantastic job... isn't that right chris :evil grin:
