Your best source of traffic to your directory

Here you can kudos your best traffic source.
It may be SE, neighbor directory or some other site.

Please don't mention your own site A saying its giving best traffic to your site B.

No doubt you have over 19k pages indexed

 

LOL - So for every ten unique visitors you receive, twelve are from Google...?

Seriously, I'll have to check... 2 secs....

directorycritic.com delivers a surprisingly high number of visitors, as does a number of other lists of directories. I suppose we only need to hear about these lists number of visitors to see where visitors come from in general.

Google... Yeah, I get a few percentages, but I don't think those are the users that submit websites, so I really don't care about those (yet).

Well, i get most traffic from DP & other webmaster forum.
From google i get about 20% traffic.
Rest of 80% i get from webmaster forum, from directory, social bookmark, etc etc

 

Obviously awstats shows returning visitors from google also as uniques

Possibily because i have a free web directory

Not much action from any of the SE's

 

Do you guys also keep track of which source is converting you into paid submissions directly?

 

on my directory the most traffic comes from google and digitalpoint

Absolutely Google is the best source of traffic to my link directory. DP forums are the other important source.

Discounting my own other sites, here are the top referers for a few of my sites:

For www.bigweblinks.com: www.bloggeries.com
For www.alivedirectory.com: Google
For www.webdirectorylist.com: www.isulongseophil.com

 

For my free directories its DirectoryCritic and for the paid its Google

 

Direct: 10%
Google: 50%
Social Bookmarking: 40%
All free

 

For me
#1 Google
#2 DP

And I am going even harder to increase that number now.
