I did a small research on around 120000 sites to see if there are more Blogger or WordPress blogs.

You can read it here :
    Blog Research.

If you have ideas on what else I can research, please let me know.

Good work by the way. Well, you can have a comparative analysis of the features of WP and Blogger as well.

That could be an idea, but I was wondering if you have ideas about the data I can gather rather what I can write.
Everyone can write a comparative between WP and Blogger, but not everyone can run string searches on 100.000 sites.

Well Mao, I'm not sure that it'll be helpful for you, but if you're more interested in research oriented work like you've recently done, why not to give a try to the profitability factor of both WP and blogger, i.e. which one rewrds bloggers more.

Well, this was only with reference to blogging research, if you can expand the criteria of your research I may come up with some more phrases or strings to get researched.

    Regards,

    Good idea!
I could look for example to Feedburner feeds to see how many people subscribed. This way I know the successful blogs (who use feedburner anyway..).

I will expand my search if I have ideas. So tell me yours and I'll implement them. It is surely more difficult to find common points, but it could be more interesting.

Btw. I'm trying to get dugg in order to have more ideas from diggers, but it's not that easy (8 dugg right now)

Speaking about feedburner, I think I'll need a library to read text inside their gif, because I haven't found anywhere on the web a way to read text stats, other than their API.
