    Very Very BAD

And a serious threat to internet security. This is not a simple problem. This is is really very big issue.

I am having serious doubts on its solution. Can anyone suggest most secure host?

    damn shit.

I think the possible solution could be:

Step1: Get your all files in your hand. If you have backup in your PC then no probs. Take help of host in getting your files back.

Step2: Buy a new host with hostgator or some more secure

Step3: change Name server of your domain to new host

Step4: upload all files to new host..

BUT... what is the solution of non-secure internet??

lol. it's really as simple as connecting to the ftp and uploading the original index.php again. if you fail to understand how to do that then i'm sorry but you really have no business running the website to begin with.
also contact hostgator's customer support and have them check connection logs or whatever. let them handle it just make sure that it is reported. unless of course it's some error on your part like trusting your administrator password with someone other than yourself or writing it down somewhere. then it's all your fault.

how hard is it to change your passwords and re-upload the website? i mean, apparently the database is still intact if people are posting to the site.
