Hi everyone, This is my first time running a contest - normally i'm partaking in them, rather than holding them! The reason I decided to do this is because my artistic ability for drawing is as bad as it possibly gets! So, the contest... I would like a mascot / character creating for my new web design site - a guy who will appear in various forms throughout the site. For this contest I would like to see the guy holding up a sign in both hands (leave the sign blank) and with a slightly mischievious look about him. There should be a full body to the character. I had the thought of maybe some kind of alien/martian-type of character but i'll leave it up to you! I would like the mascot to be brandable, unique and appealing. (ie. No ClipArt or pre-made vectors) Colours Regarding colours, it is important that you use these two colours as the main colours in your designs : #49630c (green) and #c62b75 (pink) Format Please work in either vector or 300dpi PSD formats. The Prize I will pay $50 to the winner of the contest. Please note I will not ask for revisions of the designs in the thread - I will select my winner, pay them, and then work with them to get the graphic perfect. The winner of the contest will get the opportunity for further work on this character if i need him in different poses etc. for which I will pay further. Contest End Date / Rules This contest is open until the evening of July 6th. I'm away from 4th to the 6th but will select my winner upon returning. I will provide feedback ASAP for all work submitted. I reserve the right not to select a winner (not very likely though, as I know the quality we have on DP will deliver ) Good luck, and have fun! Thanks for the quick entries guys! @ Demonhale Nice entry, though it reminded me of a character from that video games, Worms! I like how he has a slight mean streak but maybe it would be better with a happier look. Don't have to make revisions to this, but feel free to submit new concepts. @ Ariestotoles LOVE your second one! I like the green you used actually but if I choose you, is it possible to make the sign the pink colour stated in the initial post? I'd have thought so. Very, very nice mate! @ Retzseo Mate, you can use whatever you want as long as I am able to scale the thing large (ie. to print on A4 size paper). Thanks for your submissions, impressed so far! @ Aries Great update man, love those colours together (hence I did my site in 'em! lol) and using the pink for the board works really well! My current favourite for sure. @ Hecky I appreciate your effort, of course. Not a bad attempt, but it just doesn't have the quality I was after really. Having some kind of space-craft is a nice idea though. Lacks a board for writing on. Thanks, guys!
@ Kia Ora A nice 'alternative' design idea! Not too sure I like the style (the body parts are really vague etc. if you get me..) and the colours aren't the ones I asked for. Still, it's a nice variation on it! Thanks for entering

Hey, Cameo! Glad you made it Animation would certainly be nice to see, although i would prefer it to be subtle if you do use it. I would like a scalable version for printing purposes as well as one for the site, too. Thanks @ Demonhale Very nice update Everybody is giving me a lot of different options, it's cool.
