Is directories your main job?

So I would like to ask if running your directories is your main job, or just a hobby - suplamentary income.
I know that most of you (us) would like to be able to live on this some day. But how many of you have already achieved this?

 

My directoires and other websites are currently just my hobby as i have a full time job as a wagon driver

but i will one day make it my full time job as at the moment 90% of the money i make goes back into the sites

 

The bitter truth all the money from the beginning goes into to directory again
But 1 day............so the second option here...

 

the other 10% goes towards hosting

 

Job, not yet.. just a hobby.

 

I am a full time webmaster, and even though my web directory is not my main job/site, it is the site I am investing the most money into right now.

 

I wish it was my job, but now it is my hobby along with my 6 other sites. Good fun!

 

Not my only job, but it's a pretty huge part of it. So I said yes.

 

Naa not a job , just hobby, hell even my hosting company i run aint my job .

I got over 20 domains already had like only 1 2 years back though.

 

I am a student of Business and IT and presently in directories as part time, though i plan to be in E-Marketing in future though but have plans to use those skills for my own sites as well!

no it is not my full time job .... i have 2 part time jobs ..and 1 full time job


my other part time job is supermarket

than directory


and my full time job is - Student

Directories aren't my full time yet, but are gradually grabbing more of a share of my online time.

Yip this is what i do...

No time to work for someone else as i have much work to do
myself and wouldnt as no one can ever pay me what im worth
which is the main reason im doing my own thing

I'm happy to see two of my directories giving you traffic, Chris, but I think you forgot another one !

Directories are not my full time job and I never planned to make a living out of these. I'm a Sports and Physical Education teacher by profession (University and Highschool) and also run a few businesses in the real life: a building company, a small fitness centre and now I'm setting up a new advertising company
I'm also a handball coach and I just won both the National League and the British Cup this season with my women team

 

directory is not my job, i dont really make much money from it. but hopefully in future i will make more. only future can tell

 

I have only one directory and are happy with that.

 

great to see two of my directories give you traffic chris but is that reply suppose to be in this thread lol? I thought there are another thread where we discussing about top directories that sending most traffic

Btw, I am a fulltime webmaster and have 15 websites, 7 of them are directories so I can say that directories are my main job even though there are not my major source of income (yet). That is because in directory business, you need to invest lot of money first and thats what I'm doing right now.
