How do you BUDGET your SPENDING?

Just curious how you guys decide how much to spend on your directory marketing. Do you just go ahead and buy when good deals come up or do you have a limit each month or each week to spend?

    Come, let's share our strategies?

I spent close to 95% of the earnings for investment on my sites last months. I usually go with whatever the good deals I find. I set the limit for a monthly basis.

I don't have budgets, when I have money I spend it, sometimes if I don't have money, but see a deal, I spend. I have a few bid positions I maintain whatever. I try to support those who support me when it makes sense. For example Chris has been supporting my Daily Links, so I've been able to afford 2 permanent featured in Alive as a direct result, had a similar thing the other day with Romow.

    i spend:

all revenue my directory makes ($600 so far for zorg links)
all revenue i make from advert sales(like DP sig links)
50% of my income from my part time job ($200 a month)
plus any other cash i get my hands on

spending for zorg links is never ending, spent over $3000 now :D

however, i do prioritise. i wanted a link from alive directory, so instead of wasting cash on other links, i saved until i had the cash.

    Whats a budget?
I spend more than I make so I guess Im in the red.
But I do tend to spend more when deals pop up.

I can't divulge figure. Had $XXXX revenue from my 3 directorie during June. Spent $XXXX. On buying links that I thought good with my very Choosy nature.

Still I am not expecting much --as G has been behaving in strange manners lately.

I am just happy to be part of the community and be able to pay my Internet bills and my personal Petrol ( read BOOZE) and petrol for my Yamaha:D

If I am always 000:000 -- I am always happy.

I don't even know how much comes into my PP and how much goes out:eek:

Don't spend more money than you make, unless you can afford it. There are free directories out there that are as good as paid ones, you just have to find them!

I run on budget. I set an amount of money needed for my each of my campaigns, each of them lasting 3 months.
I also set goals for traffic, revenue and backlink number.
I also reinvest all revenue I get, at the time.
If I see a good deal but it's over my budget, I talk with my partner and decide if we are going to make it.
    That's the way I work.
I like to be organized, setting goals and work to achieve them, step by step.

Ok, so just wondering if you could share your domain for which you have a:
backlinks goal --> [state goals here]
traffic goal --> [state goals here]
revenue goal --> [state goals here]

So this way we can all watch to see if you meet the goals you've stated.

Also, a timeframe for you goals would be a good delimiter.
