What exactly is a hijacked PR? I've never heard of it before.

This is weird. I bought the domain www.RJP-Web-Design.co.uk (got it to a few months old PR=0) then finally got my hands on www.RJPWebDesign.co.uk for a more professional URL.
I set up 301 permanent redirects to try and save all the hard work (+ a little bit of php to automatically render the pages as the unhyphenated domain) but the new domain only had a PR of N/A (using the LivePR firefox thing)

Are you referring to mine? I think it's unknown (N/A) due to it's newness.

Dont use any tools for this. They are not accurate and dont look for everything that is needed. Plus most the time they are broke.

The only way to do it is manually. Its more work than using a tool but its the only %100 accurate method.

    So Aaron,

What happens if you purchase a fake PR domain? Does it revert to zero or whatever after you buy it and the seller removes the fakeness? Or does it stay as a fake number?

Cheers for the info, just read your article..

Normally a fake PR domain will go straight to 0 when the next PR update happens, yes.
