As i personally do not put much stock in the PR prediction tools,do any of you?For instance,my Position Bid directory was predicted as pr5,which should be right as i have bought lots of quality links and promoted it well, but today it said predicted 4....just wondering..thanks
thats my feeling as well.I see alot of post where ppl "my site is predicted this so submit now" on bid directories and then a string of ppl start submitting bids.I thought of promoting my site on this basis, but figured i would wait until i got actual pr
I agree they mean nothing but they are fun to play with. Before the last update I had a site predicted for PR4 and turned out as PR1 and a site predicted as PR1 was PR3. I don't put any stock in those tools.
Only google have the true algoritm But they are funny and they attent some issues.so who knows, maybe they can catch the bus
PR prediction is something which always get attention by one way or another. But problem is that there is no way to predict PR even close to accurate except following approach of Google that is valuing each and every link and their hierarchy 2 Tuf!
If it is PR 3 now and and the prediction says PR5, i would wait before i sell links on my site,if i want to sell text links.
I Funny thing is, you often see people on here selling links on PR1,2,3 sites and saying will be PR5 on the next update. I guess they either believe it themselves or hope that others do.
I don't trust it. However when it's saying more favourable results I"m more inclined. Does anyone know where it grabs it's backlinks total # from?
Actually Mong has more knowledge on these tools than the fools who made them Thanks to Mong at least we get a good explanation on why these tools do not work
yes, absolutely! most of the tools just says the ammount of backlinks etc, but the quality of links, or the position of the links placed etc are way too tough to find out!
I think it's even funnier to see people selling websites, and domains based on the predicted PR. I see them more frequently now. Just goes to show that not that many people know anything about this business and are desperate to grab at straws if they think they can get a shortcut.
it helps a little, up to PR5, then its inaccurate. if you get predicted PR5, you will likeyly get a PR4 or PR5
I use for a reference purpose, more than a toy to me. Not that I trust 100% as there is no absolute methodology or technique in SEO. I look at more than the result that the tool gives me though. I usually check backlink PR, even relevancy sometimes. In the near future, I think predicting PR would be more difficult, but for now, Google often let PR points pass even from an irrelevant site. So, I wouldn't simply ignore the PR prediction tool. Just a little additional research would make the prediction more accurate. To me, that's more than enough. I have never had "unexpected results" by the tool + my research for the PR prediction yet.
Well iWebtool's prediction tool has never been wrong for me and I trust it but I never get my hopes up.
I used one tool and it said not enough backlinks to predict your PR. But after update I got PR3. So I never believe on this tools .
