I beg to differ. $300 is not worth paying a directory, for two reasons: 1.) It isn't worth it even if they accept you. 2.) If they don't accept you I'd be pissed off.
i beg to differ on you begging to differ. if you have a quality site, it's hard not to get accepted. don't bother submitting your mfa site. the real question is, if you do get in, is it indeed worth it? and my opinion is yes.
I bought the link right off the bat, and I'm #1 in Yahoo for the term i'm targetting, and #7 and climbing in Google for the same term.
I do not know why these people think that the directory is free. Once I finish redesigning my site, I will be submitting to the Yahoo directory. it is viewed as authoritative and if you have a good site, you will get in. Its worth it if you have it to spend I say!
I agree with everyone saying that it is worth it. Linking from other high PR directories may bring you extra traffic, but the Yahoo directory will I believe get you extra trust from Google and your customers Brew
for free, definitely yes, don't pay get listed in yahoo dir will probably get your site ranked in the first page for some the targeted keyword
300 dollars will get you 10 very good featured listings, better still, you can buy as many text links
i think the money is better used submitting to other quality directory sites.Yahoo does not guarantee your inclusion and does not refund money.$300 in the private directory sector could go a long way
Here's a trick... submit to the .subdomain.yahoo.com directories.. Australia, UK, etc. Free and faster
I dont know yet. I know that all submissions were easy to do, I just did it a while ago, I had someone else say they tried it and it worked for them. We Will see shortly!
