    Hello,
Does dp send out email stating the reason as to why you got banned?

    Cheers

Dude blaze i have 0 infractions, i am talking about getting banned without infractions , there is no mention of anything about if email notification is sent in either cases , be it infraction based banned or without infraction.

    I think so.

Usually when you're banned though, vB has a little thing that if you try to sign into your banned account a notice letting you know when, why and how long you were banned will show up.

    If not:

User CP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification, Receive Infraction Notifications(check the box)

When you registered you were given the opportunity to "Receive Emails From Administrators". Checking that will enable it and if you get an infraction and such you'll know why.

As Jerlene.net posted members can set preferences to receive email messages from admins. This is advised since by doing so you will get an email with each infraction received. Veteran members who are banned will usually be banned from accumulating one too many infractions in too short a period. Rarely are all infractions for repeating the same offense over and over. I do not know what happens if when you receive the tenth infraction point since at that time you will be banned and no longer have email, PM privileges.

New members who are banned are usually banned for coming in spamming. One spamming infraction or duplicate account infraction for a new member results in a six/three month ban.
