Was wondering how many of you use seperate IP addys for your directories?I use a sperate one for Linksdirec.com and am going to put direcbid.com on a seperate one as well.Does it make a difference for my customers?

it does. no point in getting links from both domains as google will just ingore one of them. seperate IPs are vital :)

Matt Cutts has exclusively discussed on this issue on his BLOG ( sorry can't find the link ATM) and he says that the notion among webmasters of having links from same IPs might not count is TOTALLY MISGUIDED

I am too busy ATM to get the link about that from his Blog --but some-one more resourceful can easily do it:)

    First question:
Why from start you want to have multiple directories? :p
Why not promote one with full power ;)

Though same ip links doesn't hurt as long as they are up to merit.

Remember: Google is wiser than what you think about him ;)

not all the i.ps i have ordered are for directories

why not have multiple directories anyway as long as you promote them well dont see a problem

Yep, there is not a 'problem' but this way its hard to make your directory(ies) stand on next level.

If you spend $1000 on single directory it would bring you lot of quality backlinks but if you divide this money to 10 sites then you will have only $100 valued links.

Success of directories are not scalar its like boom and buzz ;)

Hmm, then if you concentrate on single directory then you would have $10,000 to spend ;)

well even even if separate ips are a myth or may not be important from a SEO point of view like some are saying, but if it can help you get more clients and more orders, so go for it..

    way i see it

1 directory for example makes $500 a month

    10 directories make $$$$`s a month

as long as they are all promoted properly then you can have as many as you like look at malcolm1 he has over 50

Choice how are you ordering new ips? According to icann rules you can only order ips if you wish to use ssl on ip or for nameservers etc. but never saw any rule stating you can order ips just for separate sites.

    Which host are you using?

Weird Colo4dallas does not allow ordering ips without stating reasons as per icann rules will contact hostgator myself asking how they are able to do that.
