Features comparison

Being a fan of phpLynx and the features its got built in I asked the question over at thier forum of why they think its better than the most popular one on the planet, and got the response that they are in the process of building a complete scripts comparison chart of ALL the popular ones to show just why they think they are better than not just phpld but most of them out there on a pound for pound basis.

For now they only seem to have done phpld and phpLynx features comparison, rather than me waffle on about how great the script is (especially the free one) I'll let the facts speak for themselves.

I do like phpld and all its mods, not going to take that away from it, but the chart speaks volumes when you look at how many features they have that are 'mods' for other scripts.

Interesting, it's been mentioned several times that having such a list would be useful and once one is created; suddenly no one wants to talk about it.

Why hit good n old phpLD when there are a dozen directory scripts around!
if someone is making a comparison chart they should include all major scripts, not just one.

but looking from the list, it does has some cool features, ....

in the end its taking a Yamaha home or taking a chopper and modifying it yourself!

im a DIY guy, i think ill stick to phpLD!

Didn't expect anything less, they told me to put up or shut up, I put up, they shut up.

@msolution; why phpLD? I never made the list, maybe a comparison chart of all the scripts out there should be made, then balancing cost, features, support and the like could be made by people.

Mind you if I'm honest, if a list is made phpld would be way down the pecking order on features and value for money as it stands. Intention wasn't to make it look bad it was to point out a few facts, I think the comparison list does that. :)

    I never said u did!:)

    that should be good!

U bet it does!,,, im a newbie at directories, so i downloaded the free version of phpLD,.... i think i got the max value for money here!:D

and as i said im a DYI guy,... and i feel a ton satisfied with what ive made using phpLD, coz its exactly as i envisioned it!:p

i have seen other scripts, no names,... but their coding style is so extreme... phpLD is cool anytime!

and trust me when i say this, some of them are so dumb, ull fall of ur chair laughing!

If your happy then I'm happy. :)
I seen some coding in my time and yep, phpld coding is certainly extreme, but not in a good sense. All good though as most people don't do code so don't worry about it, without clouding the issues look at the FEATURES as that's what this thread is about. ;)
