What is the main difference between the Page Rank of the site and its Page Strength. If you see Aviva Strong Directory list, DMOZ.org has a page strength of 10 and page rank of 8 according to DigPageRank, so what is the main difference between PR and PS? And which one is better to have PR7 or PS 7? I'm really confused with PS and PR. Please clear it for me.
Hello... PS doesnt exist anymore... PR is just googles algo with some spice PR will remain were i dont think PS will go anywere anytime soon as they Cut thier own throats when they pulled the Bandwith stunt thx malcolm
Ask Michael Moore http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Moore the award winning documentary film maker for his view on these 2 silly subjects PS & PR I am sure he will have a better answer than any 'SICKO' on DP
I might sound a bit ignorant but its the first time im hearing about Page Strength. Could someone explain it in more detail please
Yes both PR and PS is a joke, PR is slightly ahead of PS as it depends upon quality of backlinks You may have PR6 even if you have very less traffic! It is the traffic to the site that ultimately matters!
main difference between PR and PS : PR is calucated on pr of incomming links and no of links on the donor page while PS is calulated on a number of diff factors like PR of the page, serp position for kw's in the title etc PR is good as google recognises it.
Yip pretty much.. Ever since they went to a paid model.. with high monthly fees the tool hasnt been working correctly and $40 bucks a month is a little steep even for me But to each his own i suppose.. thx malcolm
PR, or TBPR : a google metric, computed by google and , according to google information, sole based on incomin links to a web page PS, is a metric prepared by an organisation with a website located at seo moz. org, its based on an algo of unknown properties
None of them are good and only "Traffic" is what you should be concerned about if you ever want to succeed in the directory business.
The way PR values a website or web page is based on backlinks, quality backlinks. I tend to trust more PR, Google's technology than any other tools out there. I liked the concept of PS, but .edu or .org links shouldn't be good factors for evaluating a website as Matt Cutts clearly says that TLD extentions won't count. del.icio.us links are easy to get, so some of those links may not be real, natural links. If PS removes those factors and add some more important ones, then I think PS would be more valuable than PR.
