Changing a directory or not

I am thinking of changing my .biz directory to jodeeswebdirectory.com so that I can put it on a different domain totally and transfer my links to it.
What are your opinions as far as
    1. would it do better being seperate from the the rest of the site altogether,
    2. do you think it might be better for pr
    and
    3. do you think google would index it better and get some of my pages out of supplement status
    or
    4. just start it as a seperate directory altogether

PR does not look at domain name , just keep that in mind.

This is an incorrect statement. All domain extensions hold the same amount of weight. A .biz can rank just as high as a .com, .org .edu and so forth. I have never seen any proof that .com is the better way to go. Although you might get a little more direct traffic through the address bar with a .com, but only because that is the most well known extension. But from an seo stand point all domain extensions are equal, it still comes down to how well you optimize and promte your site.

    Agreed...

Any domain can beat any other domain if the linking structure is stronger (backlinks) and the site is better optimized.

I would suggest maybe using these domains you purchased and run redirects to
whichever extension you will be using.

    thx

you should have just one and redirect the other to it. If you will move the listings to the new directory then make sure to 301 redirect the old subdomain to the new url until google indexes the new pages and drops the old ones. this way you avoid duplicate content penalty and you also benefit from the links pointing to the subdomain.
