Windows Vista Forum

I'm selling a site I bought a few months ago (http://www.msvistaforums.com/) as I don't have time to turn this in to a big Vista forum at the moment so I'm selling it on to someone interested.

Windows Vista is going to be installed on most PCs in the coming months/years and anyone that can get a good Vista forum should have an excellent earner on their hands.

There wasn't much content on it so I re-designed it and put a fresh install of vBulletin and re styled it. The primary worth of this site is the domain name itself and the age of the domain (2005).

There are around 100 pages indexed from the old site and it is spidered quite often.

Bidding starts at $100 without vb license as can't be transferred in this instance (you can buy another or use phpbb for free). Payment via Paypal. Domain will be pushed for free to a godaddy account and database/files can be sent via zip/e-mail if required.

How do you justify the price - it's an empty forum :O

Yes, but it has a custom theme and is based on an aged domain. Anyone wanting to perform any SEO will benefit from this greatly - plus the domain itself is quite good :)

So I guess everyone will have the same copyright infringement issues as I have been getting by using the word "Vista" in the domain name. Also, what do you mean no license is included? This means that the copy of vbulletin on there right now is illegal?

Ian, I am interested, but the opening bid is a little high. I will monitor this thread if you decide to change it. Wish you luck though!

No, I was interested in it and I wanted to be sure that the copy of vbulletin is not illegal because I dont want my host taking down the site.

I have an owned vbulletin license for the site from when I first bought it, however I can't transfer it again as per the license agreement. The new owner would have to buy one from vBulletin or use another forum software.

    Yep, but here's the problem:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/order/license_agreement.php

As I got the license transferred when I first bought it, I can't transfer it again. Thanks for the heads up though :)

Its only $100 not 200? Plus as I already explained the bulk of the value is in the domain, age and template.

I'm really surprised this hasn't got a bid!?

    Nice customisation, great domain.

Any traffic, Ian? I see you have 30+ members but no posts

Can you tell me how much a vBulletin licence is?

Yup, or or a leased for $85 :)

I don't have any traffic stats enabled on it unfortunatly, as I've just not had time to do anything to the site (other than get it skinned). It certainly gets some traffic as there are often a handful of users online according to the footer, but I don't know where too or where from.

I'm going to end bidding in a couple of days :)
