    Nice. I usually play "n/r 15"

That might not be long enough. What's your no-rush time?

I prefer AOE 2 as well, I think 3 is boring. I liked being able to pit random civilizations together, like Incas vs. Vikings.

Anyways, when I play AOE 3 I play as the Russians or the French, and my strategy is to take out opponents one at a time, starting with destroying the outskirts and then sending in a fleet to take out the town centre.

In AOE 2, i used to send 3x 40 troops to the town centre, and they destroyed all the villagers. Then i destroy all buildings, and by the time the army comes, the whole base is destroyed, and i then defeat the troops and the empire.

I played this game until I got to where you attack the "fountain of youth". Seemed a bit ridiculous at the time, I expected something a little more than that. I stopped playing from then on.

I have the game, and I played it a lot however I have to admit its not quite fun as AOE2. I got bored when even on the hardest level I started defeating enemies within 20-30 mins.

I think 'Rise of Nations' is a better game.

I used to love playing games like that, but I'm scared to install any on my laptop as I just know I wont get any work done :D

Thats the reason I've still got the new red alert command and conquer on my desk still shrink wrapped. I can kiss good bye to anything productive if I open it and install it lol

I played AOE2 so much, that the CD was worn, and the CD-drive has to be replaced twice due to it being worn out. 3 years ago, i was playing AOE 2 for 2-4hours every day for around 20months. (nearly 2 years.)

Eventually, just eventually, i did get bored with it, and i never found a game since which is so fun.

AOE2 was a very good game, I never even bought AOE3, according to reviews it doesn't seem like something I would like to play. After AOE2 I moved to Rise Of Nations and Rise Of Legends, through I think RON is still the best to play.

I don't play AOE. But my daughter does and loves all editions of it. She even has it on the Ninetendo DS. The graphs are similiar to the PC version. But atleast she can now take the game with her anywhere she wants.

I played AEO 2. My strategy was to create more paladins and just kill the king with direct attack on king and no one else. ;)
