Hello, Anyone here play Age of Empires III??????? If so, what is your favorite civ? And what's your strategy for victory? Many thanks!
I absolutely love that game, i play as dutch/portugese/brits, and my strategy is to play no rush and then build up an awesome army and crush everyone, but yes i totally love this game.
I usually play nr 45 but i like nr60, oh and i usually play 2v2, and i have the expantion pack. hey pm me and then ill tell you my name online so you will add me and we could play sometime.
I prefer AOE 2 as well, I think 3 is boring. I liked being able to pit random civilizations together, like Incas vs. Vikings. Anyways, when I play AOE 3 I play as the Russians or the French, and my strategy is to take out opponents one at a time, starting with destroying the outskirts and then sending in a fleet to take out the town centre.
In AOE 2, i used to send 3x 40 troops to the town centre, and they destroyed all the villagers. Then i destroy all buildings, and by the time the army comes, the whole base is destroyed, and i then defeat the troops and the empire. Rob
I played this game until I got to where you attack the "fountain of youth". Seemed a bit ridiculous at the time, I expected something a little more than that. I stopped playing from then on.
I have the game, and I played it a lot however I have to admit its not quite fun as AOE2. I got bored when even on the hardest level I started defeating enemies within 20-30 mins. I think 'Rise of Nations' is a better game.
Age of empires 2 was really fun I remember i used to play online for hours But that was one I was 9 or 8, now I am 15, I have realized thats all time waste.......but I still remember them as the *GOLDEN DAYS*
I used to love playing games like that, but I'm scared to install any on my laptop as I just know I wont get any work done Thats the reason I've still got the new red alert command and conquer on my desk still shrink wrapped. I can kiss good bye to anything productive if I open it and install it lol
I tried it one time, and I had just figured out how to make my people do stuff, then I got invaded by what seemed like the entire world... game over... no more computer games for me..
I played AOE2 so much, that the CD was worn, and the CD-drive has to be replaced twice due to it being worn out. 3 years ago, i was playing AOE 2 for 2-4hours every day for around 20months. (nearly 2 years.) Eventually, just eventually, i did get bored with it, and i never found a game since which is so fun. Rob
AOE2 was a very good game, I never even bought AOE3, according to reviews it doesn't seem like something I would like to play. After AOE2 I moved to Rise Of Nations and Rise Of Legends, through I think RON is still the best to play.
If anyone wants to buy Red Alert C&C (the new one) PM me, I can sell this copy, its unopened - still shrink wrapped.
I don't play AOE. But my daughter does and loves all editions of it. She even has it on the Ninetendo DS. The graphs are similiar to the PC version. But atleast she can now take the game with her anywhere she wants.
Me too like AOE 2 more than AOE 3.. BTW Which civilization do you guys choose the most?.. I usually play with Aztecs or Britons..
I played AEO 2. My strategy was to create more paladins and just kill the king with direct attack on king and no one else.
