I bought a laptop and have had it just uner a year im now getting 2 error messages when loading it - it loads up fine but would raher just wipe it and start afresh, i bought it brand new from a large chain retailer however never got an xp cd with it, i do have the serial code on te bottom of my laptop though so does that mean i can download a copy of windows off kazaa or somewhere similar?
if you have the windows xp sticker with key number then yes you can down load the same version and just call MS and register it again. the advice about trying to get a copy from your computer manufacturer is sound advice as most of the copies from p2p are corrupted or have backdoors hidden in the code. the other option is to borrow a copy from a friend.
