Hi, I've observed a dramatic drop in sales over this weekend, like never before. I realize that weekends always see less conversions, but this is something different. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm worried that there might be something wrong with my CJ account.
I'm noticing a drop in sales on my eBay affiliates over the weekend.. and hasn't returned yet. The weird thing is that my impressions and clicks are up. Hopefully this isn't another eBay issue like last time. hanji
Do you guys read the WSJ? Consumer confidence is dropping for the first time in a long-time. I'm thinking there are more weekends like this ahead of us in the retail space.
A drop in the consumer confidence isn't going to cause a dramatic drop in your conversion rate (it's just a measure, publishing of the new rate isn't going to cause people to suddenly stop buying...). Which program is this for (or at least, what industry)? Are you seeing a change in your conversion rate, or is your CR constant & your traffic is lower?
Hello I'm seeing a drop in sales in the eBay program. Clicks and traffic have been on the rise, which gives me the feeling that something might be off. Drop started around the 24th. I'm getting a couple of sales (real small dollar amounts) since then. Looking at my graph I see nice activity in sales since eBay fixed the problem that they were having until the 24th.. which is why I'm concerned. When eBay had issues in May or whatever.. I was maintaining consistent traffic and clicks, but without sales.. very similar to what's going on now. I understand clicks != sales.. so it could be consumer pattern. Just seems weird though, my sales are pretty consistent for the most part. Thanks! hanji
I was going to ask the same thing and saw this thread. My conversion is down 50% which is not really good, traffic is steady but the conversion is really poor. I hope things will go back to normal. btw i'm promoting a ringtones.
maybe someone else is undercutting you/offering a better service/new kid on the block. could be lots of things
I'm seeing this too, across multiple programs. It seems to be either a slump before the July 4th holiday, or tracking issues on CJ's end. I know there are tracking issues with some batch-upload advertisers who are uploading data, but the data isn't showing in CJ (Buy.com and emusic, to name two) - but I'm not aware of issues with any programs that use pixel-based tracking.
