Hello, I would like your honest opinion on my site. I have got some traffic but not many sign ups. So I am looking for: what is you initial impression? What would make you want to sign up or not sign up? Thanks http://movies.2DoNext.com
Overall the header is a little lacking and boring, it should be brighter and slicker. The balloons about dragging, dropping, and connecting with other users don't really do anything to assist in navigation. Get rid of em. Other than that, I wouldnt hesitate looking around and possibly registering.
I like the color combination and placement. It's like DP's color scheme. I don't usually sign up websites just to leave my comment. Overall, I think the site is good enough
Thanks, I added the balloons so that people would see more of the features of the site. They go away when you are signed in.
I like the concept of your idea, I also like the site layout, and navigation is straight forward. I dont like the green coloured page background, maybe white would look better. The Top Banner could be improved by Flash Animation imo, which would also give the site a bit of life. To increase member sign up - Maybe introduce a shopping cart system were your members can buy after reading the good critiques and feed back comments. This could also keep you members on your site longer, rather than shooting off to amazon. Good Luck with the project.
I agree with eniram about the header. Brighter, slicker would definately up the appearance of the site. And to be honest about the balloons - I didn't look twice at them, I assumed they were Google Ads. I also agree with WPOSolutions about the color scheme. The pastels just aren't working for me. If I had designed the site, it would probably have a black/white background with contrasting table elements/text and some highlighted colors (red or blue). Just my 2 cents
I went there. I read it. I stared at it for a while.. Nothing came to mind. Nothing. This is not bad. But it's also not good. Usually something jumps at me as "really bad" or "really cool." I got neither. So, my honest impression is that it's an average site... Nothing wrong with that. Best of luck!
I also like the concept of your site. I enjoy movies too and talking about them. The layout is not so exciting though.
I agree you should make the header more flashy as most people that goes to these sites wan to see some action =)
I dunno. Honestly, the colors aren't appealing to me and the site could use a good make over. It looks to be pretty nice and very interactive, but the interface is lacking.
Everything looks way too cluttered.. and your colorscheme is a bit dull because of the pale colors.. The layout is also a bit too flat, I would redesign the layout and add some soft gradients to it.
I like the idea of the site and it has alot of good content. Maybe have the latest released movies on the home page, stuff that just came out in theaters because that is what most people want to see about before they go pay to watch it

I think that your website project is past the design phase, and into the promotional phase. What you need now is a few strong backlinks to your site to get it moving. Try text-link-ads.com, browse around by subject, see what you can find. May you reach PR6 before the next world cup...
Since the website is mostly code, I would focus more on the header. The colors arent my favorite either The black BG doesn't fit in well :/
I really like it for my first impression I need the site to offer me something to sign up though... Something free
