Regional Directory Script Ready for Testing

If someone would like to test out the new regional directory script I have (based on phpLD v2.1.2), I can offer it for no charge. But what would be a bonus for me is if you would be willing to do one or more of the following:
    1. Customize the template and show it for others to see.
(note: this may be a good opportunity for a template developer to convert an existing template, and I will add a link about this to your template download page)
    2. Write a review about it in your blog
    3. Make and show some screen shots for others to see
Let me know how you will help, and I will contact a couple of people and send a download link.
You will receive a free license in return for your help. You will not be required to link back, but it sure will be appreciated if you are benefiting from the software. In future releases, there may be a stricter policy on this.

(Please don't PM me about this. I'll PM you with the download link)

    Thanks,
    David

I don't have time to test this myself, but as the owner of a couple of regional directories, I'm curious about a couple of things. Does it have location-based blocking built in? In other words, one click and you can ban the keywords and tlds of certain countries or continents? That would be a massive time-saver for any regional directory owner.

And does it come with a category dump? IMO they are deadly, because of the potential for duplicate content.

While not an exact duplicate, you can get an idea of looking at this regional directory demo. It installs just like phpLD v2.

I have a bought license for the regional phpld could you please send me the new version of script to
    “ask.dir AT gmail DOT com”.
    - Any plans on enabling bid for position functionality on this script?
    - Any documentation describing the differences on templates between normal and regional?, I sponsor some phpld free skins that I could migrate!

Just few months ago, I was thinking of build a local directory for a particular city. Would that count?

The demo link is showing all sorts of countries. I don't think I can do that.
Also, what are the differences between a normal phpld and this one?

I'm going to prepare a page about it, and then anyone who wants to download and try it will be able to get it.

Ok, I have the release ready:
    Free Regional Directory Script
It is based on phpLD version 2.1.2 and should install just fine. I don't have any premade databases or templates, but hopefully as people start using it (hopefully they will) we will get some templates. I'll be happy to receive feedback and make some improvements to this version, as well as work toward a remake of the paid version.

I have a url that is very suitable for this script.

    All Over World

The only issue, I have is I don't know how to make tempates.

If there is a suitable template, i am willing to try this.

any help in getting a good template is appreciated.

    Thanks

I think we could help you switch over one phpLD v2.1.2 template to work with this script. If you can get the default installation installed on your server, I will try to help you at least get a template going.
