    I see rubber stamp head of state only in UK and formerly British ruled countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc.

    It has a lot to do with the atitude of the people who framed our constitution

    The committee which was formed to frame the constitution had eminent laywers(like Nehru etc., and the head) were only byproducts of Britain's law

    They were well versed in UK's constitution so only we have got a constitution that is a copycat of UK's.

    Those who framed our constitution were really stupid such that they never really bothered to see what would happen in future!
