Non paying submissions

Does anyone here get a large amount of non-paid submissions to their directory? If so, what do you do about it because it is starting to irritate me and I want to figure a way to make sure they pay or their submission will just not go through if they are picking the paid options of course. Let me know any of your tricks! Thanks!

Waiting for 3 days, no pay just delete them.

Spam submission comes when your directory born. ;)

Why we have to wait for 3 days Antonio  If serious buyers want to add their links in paid directories then they pay instantly.

Just delete those submissions (whichone added without payment) IMO.

Antonio, you are right but that is in case where buyers pay through e-check (in other words he already paid us and we have to wait till clear of that check).

But here we are talking about non paying submissions.

Yeah, i know I can just delete the submissions, but I was wondering if there was anything that we can have like a mod that will tell the non paying people that their link will not be included without payment without emailing the admin about a new link submission. So if they do not pay after they submit, it just doesnt even submit the link for the admin to look at. Is there anything like that??

I've tried emailing a few of them politely asking for payment, but I've never got it. Just accept it comes with the turf and delete them.

    Today - I have become a Non-Paying submitter myself:eek:

Tried to submit to www.webopedia.org little realising that it does not have Paypal option.

I have ofcourse contacted the owner --Christian Mezei -- through PM. I hope he answers soon and let me become a legit submitter again.

Regarding other -non-paid submitter - I just delete them.

I guess I will have to wait until something comes out when they have to pay first because i am tired of deleting all the non paids.

Malcolm - I have had the same person submit multiple times. I think the QBC would be a good place for them. HA!

I had another thought....when the submitter puts in the info and then submits, why don't we make the payment page just auto redirect to paypal if you are using PHPLD instead of them having to click on the paypal button! tell me what you think!

    1. It wouldn't work if you offer more than one payment option.

    2. The user will just close his browser when he gets to PayPal instead of when he gets to your page with the PayPal button. You might get a couple of converts but you won't get at the real spammers.

I do get such submissions from time to time, especially on my free directory.

But I can recognize that the submitter is actually a spammer, so I just delete them.

Anyone has gotten submissions with title "Hello"? :D

With Indexu script, unpaid submissions just go straight to suspend links in admin
