Another great contest from THN87.. Go to the forum www.esldf.com .. Post as many posts and threads as you can.. GO CRAZY.. but be sure that you have at least 20 unique words per post and 50 per thread.. No "Thank you" "Great" "WOW" "I like that" or anything like that.. Must be on topic and fluent English.. Any threads that do not comply will not be counted if not deleted. The guy with most posts is the winner !! and will win $100. $20 for 2nd Place.. $10 for 3rd Place.. Contest ends in 7 days!!
I have registered as 'hugodiaz' I have a question, is this competition open to all existing members of your forum, or just the new members from DP etc.? Also, can you give a very specific end date and time. Thank you!
Thanks for your reply, but you didn't give me an exact end date and time for the contest. That is essential information in my opinion.
Haha, thanks for the good laugh guys. There are only 30 days in June, so I guess that means July 1st 12A.M. then?
- You mean July 1 , 12 a.m, ET/PT/GMT ? - Don't you think this is unfair, as existing members have many posts and to overtake them will be reall hard ?
I decided to extend my contest for one more week. Performance is very low, only one guy is posting and he's the winner so far Yash. mods: Sorry I couldn't edit my last post and I needed to get the message out.
Hmm, don't you think it's unfair to extend the contest? I mean Yash was the winner, right, so he should be paid according to the original agreement. I was going to enter this contest, but then I got a bad feeling and didn't. I don't want to intrude on your thread too much, but maybe instead of extending the contest, you can have a new one with better and clearer rules.
Not at all. A contest has to involve many participants. The forum itself will look bad with single member only posting. Now you get your chance
Well I think a contest involves rules, and if those rules are not followed, then why bother entering? I do think it is unfair to extend the contest, and let me explain why. If I posted say 150 posts in the originally agreed time period and I 'won', but then later the forum owner said, 'there were not sufficient posters so I will extend the contest for another week/month/year/any other time period' I wouldn't be happy as maybe I spent a lot of time that week to ensure I could win, neglecting other 'work' in the process only to see that the original agreement was not adhered to by the forum owner. Basically in my mind Yash should be paid, and a new contest should be formed, and if the owner wants to have the right to extend the deadline, he or she should make it crystal clear that he holds this option. Anyway, maybe there are some unwritten rules that I am unaware of, and so maybe other DP'ers will take your side, but for now I stand by my view that it is 100% unfair to extend the contest. It is not Yash's fault that there were not enough posters, so why shouldn't he be given the reward that he is entitled to. Like I said, I had a bad feeling about the contest which is why I held back and didn't waste my time posting. Now I must say I am glad I trusted my instincts. I would love to hear what other 'established' members have to say about thsi whole fiasco. I hope some of the older and more respected members can give their opinions. Again, thn87 sorry to intrude, but at least your thread will be bumped. Haha, and it seems as though many people only read the first 1 or 2 posts in each thread anyway. Good luck with your contest and your forum.
