oh i am going to be popular. you see i do not believe in the use of capital punishment, even in the case of terrorism and the kurdish massacre at halabja. simply because if we use 'killing' as a means to punish crimes, even the most heinous of crimes, then we also become killers. a life sentence is always the way to go in a civilised society, which of course rules the US out, but then hey we knew that anyway didn't we? and by the way jalal talabani who is kurdish and was, probably still is, a member of the iraqi coalition government refused to sign saddams execution papers on the grounds that he did not subscribe to capital punishment. it has been proved that it does not work as a deterrent, that frequently miscarriages of justice lead to the wrong person being executed, and when used as a form of revenge it is no better than a mafia style hit. in any given situation execution is abhorrent.

CA will be dead but the families of the people he killed still go through alot because of him, why not lock him up for hard labour for the rest of his life, let him punish like he left his vitims families
