That's yesterday's result.. at my blog http://filmsupdates.blogspot.com/ The page layout is ugly, but i've tried almost everyone of the templates there, all seem to be not that good looking. wanna try templates from elsewhere, but the change of code would be pretty troublesome. I wonder how did that happen-the 1078 impression without even a single click. Usually my blog's CTR is about 1%, this new record is really outrageous. and, the Auction Ads there has CTR of about 1% as well, but so far earns 0 cent as no one buy anything through the clicks. my bad day~
High CTR means that your site visitors do not spend much time on your site or do not find what they are looking for. So it may not be a bad thing after all...
make the colour of the URL and descriptions in the adsense ADS...lighter... never make the URL colout so dark.. yes we all need stats on the unique vists.. also source of traffic is important.
Successful design changes can bring you amazing success. Before 3 months ago, i've doubled my adsense earnings at the same traffic by changing the theme. One Note: I don't know why but People don't interest cinema sites. (based on my experiences). I've closed a cinema web site because of that reason. IMDB is the Google of Cinema on the Web. But different concepts can bring traffic just like cinematical. Buy your first problem is your template. I know many people make thousands from blogger blogs. Your target is not impossible. All you need is a good theme. And just like "massive" said; digg's traffic doesn't turn to click easily. I get 3 clicks for 500 impressions when one of a story digged. But i get 5 or more clicks in 100 impressions if the visitors come from Google Results.
I'm not surprise, it looks like you're ashamed of having adsense, it need to be on top, and use the 3 adsense blocks and 3 adlink blocks. You have to rethink your adsense placement or simply stop complaining, you can't have both an horrible ad placement and compassion from your peers.
yes, get one million visitors and you'll earn more, but not as much as if you had a decent ad placement and the same amount of visitors.
