    Hello, :(

Someone hacked my paypal account. I talked to paypal agent on phone for 40 minutes, at last after many problems & talking they said the person hacked my account have changed all my all info.

    My Address
    My credit card number
    My password
    Security question (answers)
    My primary email address

& damn all money was taken. I want to cry........ how could someone make his life comfortable on other persons hard earn money. :(

Sp paypal said they will contact me through my email address & they might give me my account back & after that they will see if money can be recovered.

I am lost & don't know how this all happens:

    * Is this my computer was hacked ?
    * Is this paypal side problem ?

    or any other reason ?

Please please give me some hackers protection or any idea how to keep best protection ? I don't want this to happen again if I still want to continue in this internet biz.

I am really very sad. I did earned that money with very hard work.

Treat your password like your Toothbrush! Change them when You need (Every month if possible).

Protect your windows Password as well...If your computer is accessed by many people outside your family (say your friends or outsiders) then ask them to use "Guest" or another user profile instead of yours. So this way you can protect your computer and they wont be able to install any malicious softwares in your pc.

Ask paypal to track the IP address and they will be able to tell from where your paypal account was accessed (thus the location of the hacker).

But i think i know how your account was hacked (This happens to most of the people). I am sure YOU have ONE password for EVERYTHING. Starting from your email accounts, paypal and the list goes.

This is very risky! If one password is leaked, you are a dead fish! Don't be sad, I think you should talk to paypal and get your money back.

I hope they will give my account back but I am not sure about money. You think if he made wire transfer, money can be recovered or not ? or if he did xzoom transfer ?

Well I am the only person use my computer. :(
also I just changed this password in last week only & still hacked.
So at last I just formatted my c drive & installed window again. SO please tell me how to stop that person to take useful data from my computer again ?

& is their any way to take action against that person who hacked my paypal ?

I had this same probem happen to me about 2 weeks go. They did all th abve things and then closed the acount when the money was cleared. Luckily I knew the perso who did it as I got a message saying that the money had been sent to his account from paypal. I gae them a ring and within a week I had my money back and had a new account to put it in.
Don't panic or get upset, just explain as much as you know to paypal and they shall sort it out.
Once it does get sorted make sure you think of a unique password to al your other passwords and keep changing it along with your security questions or answers at least every month.
I hope you get to the bottom of the problem and that you get you account and money back. I know how difficult a problem this is.

Very sorry to hear that. :(
Good that you called paypal. They will help you.
To prevent this from happening again. Dont chat with the people you dont know in Instant messengers. Don't open strange links, they can be fake pages which look like paypal login page.

PS. This is my first post. :D I read a lot but post less.

I think you are safe now. But he can attack again if he knows your IP address where he injected that keylogger. I suggest you to use Zone Alarm security suite.

Sorry to hear that mate... I'll feel awful for you.

If I knew I had gotten a keylogger on my computer I'd format the whole lot, change passwords ... everything!

Rootkits, malware and keyloggers are integrating better and better into the deepths of computers. When you delete/uninstall/remove you should'nt be certain the malicious code has actually been removed.

How did you find the keylogger and where did you get it from - that info might save fellow DPs from you fate...

I think you got brute forced or your password was sniffed up.
Use better passwords include letters, numbers, special symbols etc. and make it 20 character long

    Or you got keylogged .

ok this person who hacked my paypal &
other people paypal accounts is going to over soon.

I have talked about 1 hour with paypal agents, I have talked to Dp seniors.

I don't want to tell anyone that what info I have but the only thing I can assure you all is that the person who did this with many of Dp members will be over soon. Let me tell you all that its not about only money but its about taking advantage of someone who is working ass hard for earning that money. Now I can even hurt him personally & what more I can do he can't even think of.
