I know this comes up pretty often, but it seems like the answer tends to change, so I wanted to see who you recommend lately. I have been telling people to use hostgator.com and hostdime.com Good choices?
well i love my current host who have been hosting me for quite a while now www.qoozz.com << awesome uptime (fast service / support)
I am using following and am very happy with them: budgetreseller.com hostmaven.com hostgator.com duportonline.com Cheers!
Well try not to suggest hosts...see every host on the net screws up BAD and you dont wanna be in the mid of it. Although what you can do is try to make it a service that phpld has to offer, such as "hosted services" option while buying, im sure people would like that better then going to someone else for it my 2c
May i suggest bluehost.com? My web directory is hosted with them for more than one year and i am quite satisfied with their service.
www.downtownhost.com my favourite every time. staff are great, i know them by name. so helpful and service is immense and prices good too
i did not face much problems with godaddy, so am happy with it, i could have said yahoo only if they allowed the .htaccess! but then anyways, godaddy get's my vote
I know Jorge a bit. He is so helpful and will do anything to give you quality service. (Its just a matter of asking him) I am currently using HostingZoom and so far no issue. The support has gone down a bit in last month but as there is no trouble I hardly need the support. And lastly, Hostgator. I think most people here have sites with them.
I have used Hostgator in the past. There servers were good, but I didn't really like their support. Currently I am using micfo.com and am happy with it.
i think you mean Softlayer and dv, if you do offer hosting for phpld as an addition to your product, please make sure you have the following covered. Dedicated IP (on demand) Different C-Class Hosting (on demand) Daily Backups Live Support Cpanel Installation support Have 2-3 techs ready to handle problems at any moment. my 2c..i was in the hosting biz for a while so yea theres a big heads up
I think i am one of the few to be using godaddy... They rock for me and well i have not experience and downtime with them, unless i get dugged Thanks for starting this thread David, i just wanted one like this for my article
What we should do is get a list of nominees and then come back with a voting thread. What do you think?
