Image Optimization ?

Can anybody Suggest me how the Image optimization is done. Basically for Google & Yahoo.

 

name the image as a keyword and put some alt tags on it.

 

Also ensure that your robots.txt file doesn't point (as in disable access) to your image directory.

 

Thanks for suggestion, but I have already done that. What else is required.

 

also add title="" tags.

No problems, just remember it takes a very long time to see the results of your image optimization. Google image bot "can" take 6-12 months to crawl your site and index your images, but it can bring excellent results when it happens and if done correctly.

Plan out your keywords properly, even head over to Google image search and think.. What would i type in here if i was looking for my image. You will get alot of traffic if you nail the popular keyphrases/keywords
