There is no best web host only the one best for you. You may not need support so why pay $100/month so you can have the 24/7 phone support for example. You may only need 1gb of space why go with a host who offers 1000gb and has proven to be unreliable. These top 10 sites or any sort of review site I'd watch out. It seems sort of bias when every single company in the top 10 the links have send an affiliate id. So you buying the account the person gains $200 for that signup. What are you looking for? Shared, VPS or Dedi? I like wiredtree.com, very good service and customer support, fair pricing. They only have VPS and dedi's though, lowest plan I believe is 49.99 a month (might be 39.00 you will have to check). Great support. -- monitored 24/7, downtime lasts seconds - minutes if and when it does happen, you have 24/7 monitors on all important services that email you when failed, the few times I had downtimes with 6 months I think as customer, longest downtime lasts was 6 minutes. One time there was electrical problems so I cant count that, can't do anything about the weather messing up electricity lol. For a decent but very cheap (5.95 month unlimited domains) they have around 98-98.5% uptime imo.
